Mojokerto, September 3, 2026 – PT Pupuk Indonesia (Persero) is ready to strengthen the distribution of subsidized fertilizers in Mojokerto Regency, East Java, in accordance with the latest regulations stipulated in the Directorate General of Agricultural Infrastructure and Facilities (PSP) of the Ministry of Agriculture Decree No. 32 concerning the Technical Guidelines for the Distribution of Subsidized Fertilizers from Delivery Points to Farmers, as well as Decree No. 33 concerning the Technical Guidelines for the Management of Subsidized Fertilizers for Fiscal Year 2026.

“We encourage all stakeholders to work together to uphold this responsibility and maintain proper administrative procedures so that subsidized fertilizer distribution runs effectively and reaches the intended beneficiaries,” said Pupuk Indonesia’s Regional Sales Manager for Region 4, Oktario Rolando, during the Pilar Tani Pupuk Indonesia event held on Tuesday (September 1, 2026).

He explained that the primary objective of Pilar Tani is to align the perceptions and understanding of all stakeholders while strengthening compliance with subsidized fertilizer distribution procedures based on the 7 Rights principle. Currently, subsidized fertilizers are distributed directly from factories through distribution businesses to delivery points or authorized retailers, and subsequently distributed to farmer groups or individual farmers.

To support the distribution process, Oktario stated that Pupuk Indonesia is committed to ensuring the availability of subsidized fertilizers. Adequate, timely, and affordable fertilizer supplies are part of the Company’s efforts to support the sustainability of national food security.

Furthermore, Oktario noted that the latest regulations governing the distribution of subsidized fertilizers from delivery points or retailers to farmers have a significant impact on Pupuk Indonesia’s subsidized fertilizer distribution performance. In Mojokerto Regency, distribution realization has reached 76 percent of the allocated volume.

“This distribution realization is considered positive. Moreover, East Java Province has received an additional reallocation of 7.3 percent, representing an increase compared to the previous allocation,” he added.

Under the prevailing regulations, 10 agricultural commodities are eligible to receive subsidized fertilizers: rice, corn, soybeans, chili, shallots, garlic, cassava, sugarcane, cocoa, and coffee. Therefore, commodities outside these 10 categories are not eligible to receive subsidized fertilizers.

In terms of pricing, the Government has reduced the Highest Retail Price (HET) of subsidized fertilizers by 20 percent. The price of urea fertilizer has been set at Rp1,800 per kilogram, or Rp90,000 per 50-kilogram bag; NPK fertilizer at Rp1,840 per kilogram, or Rp92,000 per 50-kilogram bag; NPK Cocoa or special-formula fertilizer at Rp2,640 per kilogram, or Rp132,000 per 50-kilogram bag; ZA fertilizer at Rp1,360 per kilogram, or Rp68,000 per 50-kilogram bag; and organic fertilizer at Rp640 per kilogram, or Rp25,600 per 40-kilogram bag.

“Let us uphold this responsibility together to ensure that subsidized fertilizers truly reach farmers, support increased productivity and harvest yields, and contribute to achieving sustainable food self-sufficiency,” he concluded.
