Garut, August 28, 2026 – PT Pupuk Indonesia (Persero) continues to strengthen coordination with the government and all stakeholders involved in the distribution of subsidized fertilizer through its Pilar Tani program. The program, titled “Pilar Tani: Evaluation of Administration and Socialization of Subsidized Fertilizer Distribution Policies,” was held in Garut Regency on Friday (August 28, 2026).

Director of Supply Chain at Pupuk Indonesia, Robby Setiabudi Madjid, said that Pilar Tani serves as a forum to evaluate the distribution process while aligning stakeholders’ understanding of the latest policies. The forum also provides an opportunity to identify challenges in the field and formulate joint improvement measures.

“Through this activity, we also seek input to identify challenges encountered in the field, allowing us to formulate improvement measures to enhance the accuracy and accountability of subsidized fertilizer distribution,” said Robby. “All of these efforts are aimed at ensuring that subsidized fertilizer is distributed accurately and as intended,” he added.

Robby revealed that as of August 27, 2026, the realization of subsidized fertilizer distribution in Garut Regency had reached 64,551.75 tons, equivalent to 55.21 percent of the total allocation of 116,941.70 tons. The figure comprised 26,249.65 tons of Urea, 38,261.50 tons of NPK, zero tons of NPK Kakao, and 40.60 tons of organic fertilizer.

In addition to reviewing distribution realization, Pilar Tani also evaluated the results of transaction verification through the i-Pubers system from January to July 2026. The evaluation is expected to improve the accuracy and compliance of subsidized fertilizer distribution administration with applicable regulations.

Robby explained that the Pilar Tani program is part of Pupuk Indonesia’s efforts to strengthen the administrative capabilities of fertilizer retailers, or PPTS, in accordance with the technical guidelines for subsidized fertilizer distribution. This is intended to ensure that the distribution of subsidized fertilizer from retailers to farmers runs smoothly. He emphasized that greater attention to detail is needed when completing administrative documents so that transactions can be properly verified.

“Let us provide assistance to strengthen the administrative capabilities of PPTS in managing subsidized fertilizer distribution, so that administrative discrepancies can be minimized. Administrative issues may have implications for PPTS, as under the Sale and Purchase Agreement (SPJB), any negligence in the distribution process must be accounted for by the PPTS,” he said.

Robby also emphasized that subsidized fertilizer distribution at the national level has been running well. Regulatory simplification and the reduction in the retail price of subsidized fertilizer have also contributed to more optimal fertilizer absorption.

On the same occasion, Director of Fertilizer at the Ministry of Agriculture, Syamsuddin, said that fertilizer availability is an important factor in achieving national food self-sufficiency. Therefore, subsidized fertilizer must reach eligible farmers through sound and well-governed distribution.

“In Garut Regency, there are 11 PUDs supported by 283 PPTS to facilitate the smooth distribution of subsidized fertilizer. The governance of subsidized fertilizer distribution must be properly implemented in accordance with the 7 Rights principle to support increased agricultural productivity,” he said.

Meanwhile, Head of Agricultural Facilities and Infrastructure at the Garut Regency Agriculture Office, Rieza Fauzani, said that Garut has been allocated 59,302 tons of Urea, 56,960 tons of NPK Phonska, 4.7 tons of NPK Kakao, and 675 tons of organic fertilizer for 2026. According to Rieza, the distribution of subsidized fertilizer in Garut has been running smoothly, supported by adequate fertilizer stocks at each PPTS.
