Pupuk Indonesia, First SOE Holding Wins INDO 4.0
JAKARTA (6/12) – Pupuk Indonesia became the first BUMN holding to win the INDI 4.0 Award, National Lighthouse Industry 4.0, and 2022 Industrial Technology Pioneers (Rintek) from the Ministry of Industry (Kemenperin). This appreciation was given by the government because Pupuk Indonesia and its subsidiaries are highly dedicated in creating and optimizing industrial technology both in general and in technology in the industry 4.0 sector.
Director of Business Transformation of PT Pupuk Indonesia (Persero) Panji Winanteya Ruky said that the Pupuk Indonesia Group consistently supports the process of increasing the national industrial technology capabilities in a sustainable manner and developing industrial competitiveness through the development of high-value research and technology.
"First of all, we would like to thank you for the appreciation of Rintek, Indi 4.0, and the 2022 National Lighthouse Industry Award which has been given to Pupuk Indonesia. This appreciation was given by the Ministry of Industry and has made Pupuk Indonesia a BUMN holding that consistently implements Industry 4.0 in Indonesia," he said.
Pupuk Indonesia Holding Company (PIHC) received an INDI 4.0 award in the Supply Chain Management category. This award was also won by several subsidiaries such as PT Pupuk Kujang Cikampek which won the INDI 4.0 Year 2022 award for the chemical, pharmaceutical & textile industry in the Aggressive Digitalization category.
Furthermore, PT Petrokimia Gresik won an award in the 2022 Industrial Technology Pioneering category with the file title Increasing H2SiF Production of HDH Phosphoric Acid Factory (Hemi-DiHydrate), PT Pupuk Kalimantan Timur with the file title Maintex – Pupuk Kaltim Asset Wellness System, and PT Pupuk Sriwidjaja Palembang won two awards in the Rintek category in 2022 with the file title Product NPK 17-6-25 Specific for Cassava, as well as the file for Improving Factory Reliability with the APeM Application.
Expert Staff to the Minister of Industry for Business and Investment Climate, Andi Rizaldi said that there were 52 companies that proposed to receive the INDI 4.0 Award in 2022. However, based on research and selection results, 31 companies were determined as recipients of the INDI 4.0 Award which were grouped into 7 categories. namely Agile Organization, Sustainable Technology, Supply Chain Management, Human Capacity Building, Product & Service, Aggressive Digitalization, Smart Factory.
Of the 31 companies that received the INDI 4.0 Award, he said that 14 companies were under the guidance of the Directorate General of Chemical, Pharmaceutical and Textile Industries. A total of 10 companies are under the guidance of the Directorate General of Metal, Machinery, Transportation Equipment & Electronics Industries. A total of 6 companies are under the guidance of the Directorate General of Agro Industries, and one company is under the guidance of the Directorate General of Small, Medium and Multifarious Industries.
"The INDI 4.0 award is intended as a form of appreciation from the government for the achievement of industrial transformation 4.0 that has been carried out by industrial companies to increase the competitiveness of the national industry," said Andi.
Meanwhile, for Lighthouse Industry 4.0 in Indonesia, Andi explained that it was an appreciation for companies that were able to become examples or role models for other industries in the transformation and implementation of IR 4.0 to drive economic, operational and technological impacts. Then, award recipients are also companies that are able to act as beacons to guide other industries in the application of IR 4.0 related technologies such as artificial intelligence, additive manufacturing and advanced analytics as well as overcome challenges in upgrading existing production systems.
As for the 2022 Rintek, he said it was a form of appreciation to national industry players for their efforts and dedication in independently producing industrial technology pilots.
Secretary General of the Ministry of Industry, Dody Widodo appreciated all national industry players who won the INDI 4.0 Award, National Lighthouse Industry 4.0, and Industrial Technology Pioneers (Rintek) in 2022.
