Joint Homecoming Program with SOEs 2025, Pupuk Indonesia Sends Off 1,473 Homecoming Travelers

Jakarta, March 28, 2025 – PT Pupuk Indonesia (Persero) has facilitated the departure of 1,473 homecoming travelers (mudik participants) to their hometowns across various regions as part of the 2025 Joint Homecoming Program with State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN). This program is an initiative by the Ministry of SOEs aimed at helping the public undertake their Lebaran homecoming journey safely, comfortably, and free of charge ahead of Eid al-Fitr 1446 H.

The President Director of Pupuk Indonesia stated that the company’s participation in this program is a concrete effort to support smooth and safe homecoming travel for Eid.

“This morning, Pupuk Indonesia, through its Corporate Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL) program, in collaboration with the Ministry of SOEs and other SOEs, is sending off travelers safely to various destinations. Today’s symbolic send-off is part of our efforts to share blessings during Ramadan, and we hope this initiative will bring great benefits,” said Rahmad.

The symbolic send-off ceremony for the 2025 Joint Homecoming Program with SOEs took place at Gelora Bung Karno (GBK), Jakarta, and was officiated by Minister of SOEs Erick Thohir, Minister of Transportation Dudy Purwagandhi, Secretary of the Ministry of SOEs Rabin Indrajad Hattari, Deputy for Human Resources, Technology, and Information of the Ministry of SOEs Tedi Bharata, along with Pupuk Indonesia President Director Rahmad Pribadi, on Thursday, March 27, 2025.

At the same time, Pupuk Indonesia Group also organized its own Joint Homecoming Program with SOEs at its headquarters and through its subsidiaries, including PT Petrokimia Gresik, PT Pupuk Kalimantan Timur, PT Pupuk Kujang, PT Pupuk Sriwidjaja Palembang, and PT Pupuk Iskandar Muda.

Extensive Coverage Across Multiple Regions
In total, Pupuk Indonesia Group facilitated the departure of 1,473 homecoming travelers using 29 buses and 10 HiAce vans to destinations across West Java (Tasikmalaya, Kuningan, Pangandaran, and Majalengka), Central Java and East Java (Solo, Malang, Blitar, Jombang, Nganjuk, Madiun, Lamongan, Babat, Tuban, Bojonegoro, Ngawi, Kediri, and Tulungagung).

In Kalimantan, routes included travel from Bontang to Balikpapan, Banjarmasin, and Samarinda. Meanwhile, in Sumatra, travelers departed from Krueng Geukueh to Banda Aceh, South Aceh, Medan, and Kualanamu. Lastly, from Palembang, departures were arranged to Jakarta, Serang, Surabaya, and Yogyakarta.

"This initiative follows the directive from the Ministry of SOEs, which emphasizes that in addition to generating profits, SOEs should also share blessings and assist the underprivileged. Today, we are symbolically sending off buses carrying homecoming travelers. In total, we are facilitating over 1,400 travelers, departing from various locations across our operational areas. This year, 29 buses have been deployed for the free homecoming program," Rahmad explained.

Supporting Safer Travel for Eid
Minister of SOEs Erick Thohir officially launched the 2025 Joint Homecoming Program with SOEs, which involves 106,000 participants, supported by 83 SOEs and their subsidiaries, including Pupuk Indonesia Group. He highlighted that the number of participants has increased from 93,000 last year.

The program facilitates homecoming travel to 200 destinations across Indonesia. According to Erick Thohir, this free homecoming initiative aligns with the government’s campaign for safe Eid homecoming travel, encouraging people to avoid using motorcycles and instead utilize government-provided transport services such as buses, trains, and ferries.
