Fun Homecoming Together with SOEs 2024: Pupuk Indonesia Group Sends Off 1,446 Homecomers
Jakarta, April 6, 2024 - Welcoming Eid al-Fitr 1445 H, PT Pupuk Indonesia (Persero) Group through its Corporate Social Responsibility and Environmental Responsibility (CSER) program held the Fun Homecoming Together with SOEs 2024 aimed at the community. The company sent off a total of 1,446 homecomers to various regions starting Friday (4/4/2024).
Pupuk Indonesia's President Director, Rahmad Pribadi, stated that the Fun Homecoming Together with SOEs activity is a form of the company's support for the direction of the Minister of SOEs, Mr. Erick Thohir, which commenced on April 5, 2024. Specifically within the Pupuk Indonesia Group, it was conducted simultaneously on April 6, 2024.
"In this blessed month of Ramadan, Pupuk Indonesia Group continues to share goodness by facilitating free homecoming for the community. This is in accordance with the direction of the Minister of SOEs, Mr. Erick Thohir. Pupuk Indonesia Group facilitates in various regions for homecoming to surrounding environments, some are in West Java, some in Aceh, some from Sumatra to Java, then from East Java to Central Java. Thank you to all the directors and the extended family of Pupuk Indonesia Group subsidiaries," said Rahmad, Saturday (6/4/2024).
In this activity, five subsidiaries of Pupuk Indonesia engaged in fertilizer business also actively participated. Thousands of homecomers were dispatched from their respective operational areas, namely Pupuk Indonesia from Jakarta, Petrokimia Gresik from Gresik (East Java), Pupuk Kujang from Karawang (West Java), Pupuk Kalimantan Timur from Bontang City (East Kalimantan), Pupuk Iskandar Muda from North Aceh (Aceh), and Pupuk Sriwidjaja Palembang from Palembang City (South Sumatra).
The homecomers were dispatched using 43 fleets consisting of 26 buses and 17 minibusses or vans. The breakdown is as follows: Pupuk Indonesia sent off 295 homecomers using five buses, Petrokimia Gresik with 200 homecomers using four buses, Pupuk Kujang with 250 homecomers using five buses and one minibus, Pupuk Kalimantan Timur with 291 homecomers using seven buses, and Pupuk Iskandar Muda with 160 homecomers using 16 minibusses.
Furthermore, Pupuk Sriwidjaja Palembang also sent off 250 homecomers riding five buses. These homecomers were dispatched to various regions in Indonesia.
Homecoming is a unique tradition in Indonesia. The homecoming moment is eagerly awaited by the Indonesian people every year. The government has also made many preparations for this year's homecoming to run smoothly and safely, from toll roads to road repairs.
By participating in this free homecoming, Rahmad said, the homecomers have contributed to supporting the smooth flow of traffic during the Eid al-Fitr homecoming season. After all, as much as 77 percent of traffic accidents during the Eid season come from users of two-wheeled vehicles.
"Hopefully, the homecomers can arrive safely, warm regards from Pupuk Indonesia to the homecomers who were sent off together from all areas operated by Pupuk Indonesia, we send warm regards to relatives in their respective regions," concluded Rahmad.
