JAKARTA (13/12) - The transformation process carried out by PT Pupuk Indonesia (Persero) has succeeded in bringing the Company to maintain its position as an industry leader in the 18th Indonesian Quality Award (IQA) in 2022. This was obtained after the companies as a group implemented the Baldrige Excellence Framework (BEF) framework.

Pupuk Indonesia Business Transformation Director, Panji W. Ruky said that Pupuk Indonesia and all of its subsidiaries had implemented BEF in accordance with shareholder instructions.

"Because for us, BEF is how we improve the quality of our services, our products for stakeholders, customers, shareholders, all stakeholders can improve from year to year. For us, this is an improvement process to continue to improve from year to year. to year, in that way the group's performance can increase.

BEF itself is a comprehensive performance measurement method or tool with international standardization and with the concept of superior performance. The implementation of the Baldrige framework is considered to be very helpful in mapping the company's position, especially the extent of the position in this case the Pupuk Indonesia Group in implementing business transformation as a strategic program.

According to Panji, the BEF implementation has now proven to be fruitful. The transformation process is able to contribute greatly to the operational and financial performance of the Pupuk Indonesia Group.

"It has been proven that in the last two years there have been significant performance improvements in PI and PI Group subsidiaries, one of which is with the company's readiness to take and utilize opportunities in the market with quality business processes. Why can we, because we get that performance from the good business process. If we continue to improve the process and focus on the customer, God willing, the results will be good," he added.

The Pupuk Indonesia Group that won awards at the 2022 Indonesia Quality Award were Pupuk Kaltim, Pupuk Sriwidjaja Palembang, Petrokimia Gresik, and Pupuk Indonesia won awards in the Industry Leader category. Furthermore, Pupuk Kujang Cikampek, Pupuk Iskandar Muda won the Emerging Industry Leader award.

It didn't stop there, other Pupuk Indonesia subsidiaries that won the Good Performance award were Mega Eltra, Pupuk Indonesia Logistik, Pupuk Indonesia Utilitas, and Pupuk Indonesia Pangan won the Early Improvement award. In particular, Pupuk Kaltim won the Platinum Award (the Highest score achieved), Pupuk Indonesia Gold Award (the highest score increased), and Pupuk Sriwidjaja Palembang won the Silver Award (the highest score increased).

"I am very proud, because some of my friends have become Industry Leaders, that we are together, to improve together, and if what the Deputy Director said, the results will not betray the process. So this is proof that we can improve and continue to contribute," he concluded.

Meanwhile, Chairperson of the Indonesian Quality Award Foundation (IQAF), Orie Andari revealed that the 18th IQA award in 2022 was attended by business organizations and non-profit organizations. He also appreciated all participants who had implemented BEF.

"This event was held in the form of conferring and recognizing achievements on BEF-based excellent performance and given to business sector organizations and non-profit organizations that have participated in the IQAF 2022 assessment process which took place from 18 October to 3 December 2022," he said.
