Pupuk Indonesia Group Gives Free Medical Tests to Cianjur Earthquake Victims

CIANJUR - Pupuk Indonesia Group under the coordinator of the SOE Disaster Task Force (Satgas) formed by SOE Minister Erick Thohir is intensely providing free medical tests to earthquake victims in Cianjur, West Java (West Java).

PT Pupuk Indonesia (Persero) through its subsidiaries, namely PT Pupuk Kujang Cikampek, PT Petrokimia Gresik, and PT Pupuk Sriwidjaja Palembang, has built disaster posts which are used by local communities to evacuate.

One of them is PT Pupuk Kujang Cikampek which is located in Salaereuh Village, Benjot Village, Cugenang District, Cianjur, West Java. Pupuk Indonesia itself has appointed Pupuk Kujang Cikampek as field coordinator in handling the earthquake in Cianjur.

"Based on reports from friends in the field, Pupuk Indonesia Group is intensely providing free medical tests to affected people who live in posko. We provide medical tests to ensure that the community is in good health," said Pupuk Indonesia's SVP Corporate Communications, Wijaya Laksana, Friday (25/11/2022).

Wijaya said that the Pupuk Indonesia Group had also prepared a standby ambulance unit that could be used for urgent health matters.

Sodikin, a member of the Disaster Action Quick Response Team from Pupuk Kujang said that the Command Post in Salaereuh Village, Benjot Village, Cugenang District, Cianjur, West Java is inhabited by around 500 people from three household units (RT).

Every day, said Sodikin, the Disaster Action Quick Response Team always gives health tests to the affected communities. "We give free health tests to the public every day. Because there are always complaints from the public such as cold, diarrhea, fatigue and so on," he said.

The provision of free medical tests from the Pupuk Indonesia Group is also appreciated by the affected communities. One of them was by Wawan who felt the medical test was very helpful. The reason is, her child who is still 3 years old got a pretty serious wound on the face.

"I would like to thank the entire team from the post office, because we received a lot of assistance, one of which was a medical test every day. Thank God, I got a health test every day. The treatment never stopped, the wound was cleaned every day, the bandages changed, thank God, from the start I was immediately able to medical action. Then the donations also keep coming," said Wawan.

It can be seen that the Pupuk Indonesia Group has also provided assistance in the form of rice, mineral water, instant noodles, blankets, shrouds, pampers, medicines, eggs, truck rental fees, loading and unloading fees, and fuel costs for shipping goods.

In addition, Pupuk Indonesia employees are currently raising funds that will be used to help affected communities, especially the families of company employees who live in Cianjur.
