Pupuk Indonesia Group Sends Assistance for Handling the Cianjur Earthquake
JAKARTA – Pupuk Indonesia Group is moving quickly to provide assistance in handling the impact of the earthquake in Cianjur, West Java (West Java). PT Pupuk Indonesia (Persero) through its subsidiary has provided assistance that can be used for the victims.
This was conveyed by Pupuk Indonesia SVP Corporate Communications, Wijaya Laksana. He said that the assistance provided by the Pupuk Indonesia Group had been coordinated with the SOE Disaster Task Force Team formed by SOE Minister Erick Thohir.
"Pupuk Indonesia through its subsidiaries, namely PT Petrokimia Gresik and PT Pupuk Kujang Cikampek, has distributed assistance to earthquake victims in Cianjur, West Java," said Wijaya.
Wijaya revealed that the assistance that had been sent by the Pupuk Indonesia Group included rice, mineral water, instant noodles, blankets, shrouds, pampers, medicines, eggs, truck rental fees, loading and unloading fees, and fuel costs for shipping goods.
"The distribution of aid from the Pupuk Indonesia Group does not stop here, management is currently preparing additional assistance in coordination with the BUMN Disaster Task Force Team," he added.
In addition, Wijaya said that Pupuk Indonesia employees were currently raising funds that would be used to help affected communities, especially the families of company employees who live in Cianjur.
"However, through this fundraising program we will also distribute it to affected communities provided that the families of affected employees have received assistance from this fundraising program," he said.
