JAKARTA - PT Pupuk Indonesia stated that digitizing official kiosks can be an effective way to ensure that subsidized fertilizer distribution is right on target. These efforts can be carried out by implementing the Retail Management System (RMS) application or Rekan. Through this application, Pupuk Indonesia can find out the availability of stock at the official kiosk until the fertilizer has been received by the farmer.

Director of Business Transformation of Pupuk Indonesia, Panji Winanteya Ruky said that the Rekan application had been implemented at fertilizer kiosk in Bali Province in July 2022. "Thank God the Rekan application has been adopted by the Ministry of Agriculture in Bali Province, and for Bali it is fully operational," said said Panji.

Panji revealed that there are many benefits of the Rekan application, first is the digitization of improved governance and simplification of the process of redeeming subsidized fertilizers. Second, being able to trace the distribution of subsidized fertilizer at the kiosk level based on the farmers' identification number (NIK) and geo-tagging. Third, an integrated payment system with farmer cards and other electronic payment methods.

Fourth, provide digital redemption and billing reports. Fifth, ease of kiosk administration in recording transactions, financial reporting, stock management, and employee management. Sixth, there is an offline mode that aims to keep it functioning on remote arenas with poor signal quality. Seventh, the point of sales system for selling non-subsidized products or other products in kiosks. Eighth, make it easier to control the stock of products and goods in real time.

With the Rekan application, Panji explained that this digital system makes it easier and faster for kiosks to process fertilizer sales, whether retail, commercial, or subsidized fertilizer. This application also helps kiosks to monitor sales to farmers.

"So we just have to come and use ID cards and then we will check from the database of the Ministry of Agriculture. As long as he (the farmer) is in the data (RDKK), we will give it. The Rekan application will link goods from us and money from the government for billing, "explained Panji.

Panji revealed that the Partner application that has been implemented in KPL in Bali Province is a form of transformation to improve services to farmers and kiosks. The reason is, this digital system provides efficiency in recording and transaction matters. In fact, this system is able to increase transparency and accountability in the distribution of fertilizers.

Furthermore, Panji hopes that Pupuk Indonesia hopes that the Rekan application can be implemented in 28,815 kiosks spread throughout Indonesia. He also ensured that the digital system owned by Pupuk Indonesia was also integrated with the data system of subsidized fertilizer owned by the Ministry of Agriculture in the Definitive Plan for the Need for Subsidized Fertilizers electronically (eRDKK) as well as the redemption of subsidized fertilizers by farmers.

It didn't stop there, Panji revealed that Pupuk Indonesia would also launch the Rekan application that could be used by distributors, farmer groups (poktan), to farmers receiving subsidized fertilizers. However, the system is still under construction and needs approval from the government.

For your information, the Rekan application that has been used by kiosks will be connected to the Pupuk Indonesia supply chain monitoring system, namely the Distribution Planning & Control System (DPCS), which monitors the movement of subsidized fertilizer stocks nationally from the factory to the hands of farmers.

"With this digital system, it is easier for us to track and check stock in the warehouse, digitize from Line I to Line IV even goods to kiosks because we add goods to farmers with this Rekan application," he said.
