Jakarta, April 21, 2025 – PT Pupuk Indonesia (Persero) has announced the winners of the 2024 Pupuk Indonesia Media Award (PIMA) journalism competition. A total of 24 winners were selected based on assessments by a panel of judges consisting of editors-in-chief from national media.Pupuk Indonesia’s Corporate Secretary, Wijaya Laksana, expressed appreciation to all journalists who participated in PIMA 2024. The journalism competition received a positive response from both national and regional media professionals. “We congratulate the winners in the four competition categories.

The 2024 PIMA competition was more competitive and successfully involved both national and regional journalists,” said Wijaya. PIMA is a journalism competition program open to both national and regional journalists. It includes four categories: print media, online media, television media, and photo essays. Eligible works were those published between December 1, 2024, and February 28, 2025.

During the competition period, a total of 467 entries were submitted by 259 journalists from across Indonesia. From these submissions, 24 winners were selected across the four categories. Pupuk Indonesia awarded a total of IDR 210 million in prizes to the 24 winners, consisting of first, second, and third place winners (12 in total) across four categories, and 12 runners-up (Honorable Mentions) from each category.

PIMA is a program that appreciates journalistic works covering the performance and operational activities of Pupuk Indonesia and its ten subsidiaries. These subsidiaries include Pupuk Iskandar Muda, Pupuk Sriwidjaja Palembang, Pupuk Kujang, Pupuk Kalimantan Timur, Petrokimia Gresik, Rekayasa Industri, Pupuk Indonesia Niaga, Pupuk Indonesia Utilitas, Pupuk Indonesia Pangan, and Pupuk Indonesia Logistik. In this third PIMA event, Pupuk Indonesia adopted the theme “Promoting Productivity and Sustainable Agriculture.” This theme aligns with President Prabowo Subianto's Asta Cita program, which includes a focus on national self-sufficiency through food security.

The government is also accelerating efforts to achieve national food self-sufficiency. This goal requires collaboration from many stakeholders, including mass media, which can help disseminate information on agriculture to all corners of the country. “In this third year of PIMA, enthusiasm among journalists continues to grow, with a significant increase in both the number of entries and the level of participation compared to previous periods. We thank our media partners for their continued support of the company. Once again, congratulations to the winners,” Wijaya concluded.
