Jakarta, November 21, 2024 - PT Pupuk Indonesia (Persero) has once again earned the Platinum award at the 2024 SNI Awards, organized by the National Standardization Agency (BSN). The highest recognition from the Government was presented directly to PT Pupuk Indonesia's Human Resources Director, Tina T. Kemala Intan, in Jakarta on Thursday, November 21, 2024. This achievement further demonstrates the company’s active role in the development of the National Standards (SNI) in Indonesia.

In addition, Pupuk Indonesia has been actively promoting the implementation of SNI across its subsidiaries. Several subsidiaries also received the same prestigious recognition, including the Platinum Award for PT Pupuk Kalimantan Timur, PT Pupuk Kujang, PT Petrokimia Gresik, and PT Pupuk Sriwidjaja Palembang, while PT Pupuk Iskandar Muda was awarded the Silver Award.

“We thank BSN for the recognition given to Pupuk Indonesia. This is a manifestation of our commitment at Pupuk Indonesia to the implementation of SNI for our products and our contribution to the development of SNI in the country,” said Tina.

Tina further explained that the implementation of SNI within the Pupuk Indonesia group is crucial for driving customer satisfaction and achieving the company’s management KPI targets.

As one of the largest fertilizer producers in the Asia-Pacific, Middle East, and North Africa regions, Pupuk Indonesia continues to develop a variety of its products, including NPK fertilizers tailored to the needs of farmers, such as NPK for cassava, NPK for sugarcane, and nitrate-based NPK fertilizers for horticultural crops.

Pupuk Indonesia strives to be a pioneer in compound fertilizers in Indonesia, while also serving as a leader in the development of NPK fertilizer technology in the country. In line with this, Pupuk Indonesia plays an active role in the development of SNI in Indonesia by assisting BSN in revising the 2024 SNI for Solid NPK fertilizers and being a member of the Product Certification Institute (LSPro) at the Agricultural Resource Testing Standards Center (BBPSI SDLP).

At the 2024 SNI Awards, Pupuk Indonesia and its subsidiaries showcased Fertilizer Products, Non-Fertilizer Products, innovative products, and UMKM (micro, small, and medium enterprises) products that have been certified by SNI.

Tina also emphasized the company’s commitment to advancing UMKM development. She ensured that all Pupuk Indonesia products currently in the market are SNI certified. She stated that implementing SNI is no longer just a requirement, but a necessity for Pupuk Indonesia to enhance its products' competitiveness.

“This Platinum achievement is proof that Pupuk Indonesia's products are credible and competitive in both national and international markets,” Tina added.

Pupuk Indonesia's commitment to SNI is also reflected in the implementation of ISO standards across several management systems within the company, including Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001), Anti-Bribery Management Systems (ISO 37001), Information Security Management Systems (ISO 27001), IT Service Management Systems (ISO 20000), Compliance Management Systems (ISO 37301), and other management systems.

Furthermore, Pupuk Indonesia has accredited its testing laboratories to ensure the quality control of its products. These laboratories include those at Pupuk Kalimantan Timur, Petrokimia Gresik, Pupuk Sriwidjaja Palembang, and Pupuk Kujang.

Finally, Tina remarked that the implementation of SNI also underscores Pupuk Indonesia's commitment to providing high-quality products for consumer protection. To ensure that the quality of its products is well understood by stakeholders, Pupuk Indonesia regularly conducts outreach to its sales teams and farmers as end consumers.

“This award will have a positive impact on Pupuk Indonesia, as it enhances the company’s image and the trust in the products we offer. The implementation of SNI is also part of our efforts to accelerate national food self-sufficiency, as mandated by the Government,” concluded Tina.
