Boosting the PI Menyapa Program, Pupuk Indonesia Ensures High-Quality NPK Phonska Fertilizer in Gorontalo
Gorontalo, June 26, 2024 – As a tangible commitment of Pupuk Indonesia in serving farmers, socialization activities continue to be conducted in various regions. On Friday (21/6), the company held the PI Menyapa event in Gorontalo Province. The event, held at the Aston Gorontalo Hotel, was attended by around 170 people, including representatives from the Provincial Agriculture Office, regency/city Agriculture Offices, Coordinator of Agricultural Extension, Verification Team, e-RDKK Entry Team, distributors, and official kiosks. During this activity, stakeholders discussed the realization of subsidized fertilizer distribution in Gorontalo, technical guidelines for distribution, the NPK Phonska Re-rayonization policy, product specifications of NPK Phonska, steps to optimize distribution, and Pupuk Indonesia's Customer Service.
Fickry Martawisuda, GM of Region 2 PT Pupuk Indonesia, explained, “According to the direction of the Marketing Director of Pupuk Indonesia, the PI Menyapa Program is one of the programs that serve as a communication and coordination forum with field stakeholders. This event aims to optimize the distribution of subsidized fertilizers and minimize corrections to subsidized fertilizer bills.”
Regarding the suspicion of gravel in NPK Phonska fertilizer as posted on a Facebook account by a resident of Batulayar Village, Bongomeme District, Gorontalo Regency some time ago, Pupuk Indonesia has confirmed that the fertilizer is genuine NPK Phonska of good quality and meets the applicable standards and can be used well by farmers in planting.
This was confirmed by Wahyudin Mamonto, Acting Head of the Ombudsman Representative for Gorontalo, who checked and confirmed that the fertilizer is genuine. "The texture, color, and raw materials of the fertilizer differ from before, but the benefits and uses remain the same," he explained.
“The material suspected to be gravel is rock phosphate, which is a raw material for fertilizer. Although it looks like stone, we assure you that the fertilizer is of good quality and meets the applicable standards. This fertilizer can be used well by farmers for planting,” explained Fickry.
Pupuk Indonesia regularly ensures the quality of subsidized fertilizers through routine tests. In every test, Pupuk Indonesia refers to quality standards according to the Indonesian National Standard (SNI) for various types of fertilizers, both mandatory SNI such as SNI Urea Fertilizer (SNI 2810: 2010) and SNI NPK Fertilizer (SNI 2803: 2012), as well as voluntary SNI. Every year, product certification bodies also conduct strict audits on the fertilizer products produced by Pupuk Indonesia.
NPK Phonska fertilizer will only go through the bagging process after the fertilizer granules reach the applicable production standards. Differences in the production results of NPK Phonska fertilizer do not affect the product's effectiveness for farmers to support the growth of their crops. In the production process of NPK Phonska fertilizer, Pupuk Indonesia conducts laboratory analysis tests every four hours to ensure the quality and feasibility of the fertilizer.
Pupuk Indonesia also constantly urges farmers to be careful and meticulous in selecting fertilizers, including NPK Phonska fertilizer. Subsidized fertilizers produced by Pupuk Indonesia have the following characteristics:
- Call center number, SNI logo, distribution permit number.
- Registered with the Ministry of Law and Human Rights.
- Has quality and content according to the Indonesian National Standard (SNI).
- Bears the inscription "Government Subsidized Fertilizer, Monitored Goods".
- Has specific characteristics in the form of prills and granules, especially for subsidies.
- Has distinctive colors, such as pink for subsidized Urea fertilizer and reddish-brown for subsidized NPK fertilizer.
“We actively continue to socialize with farmers and other agricultural stakeholders so that farmers no longer hesitate to use NPK Phonska fertilizer for planting. Farmers with further questions can contact Pupuk Indonesia's customer service at 0800-100-8001 or via WhatsApp at 0811-9918-001,” concluded Fickry.
