Jakarta, February 21, 2024 - The Ministry of Industry (Kemenperin) has appointed PT Pupuk Indonesia as the National Lighthouse 4.0 of the year 2024. The award is given because Pupuk Indonesia has been able to serve as a role model in the transformation of Industry 4.0. The award was presented directly by the Minister of Industry, Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita, to the President Director of Pupuk Indonesia, Rahmad Pribadi, in Jakarta, on Wednesday (21/2/2024).

Rahmad stated that there are only 15 companies in Indonesia that have received the National Lighthouse Industry 4.0 award from the Ministry of Industry, including Pupuk Indonesia along with its two subsidiaries, Petrokimia Gresik and Pupuk Sriwidjaja Palembang.

"Thank you to the Minister of Industry for this award. In the environment of Pupuk Indonesia, many have received this award. Initially, Pupuk Kaltim, today Pusri and Petrokimia Gresik together with Pupuk Indonesia also received the National Lighthouse Industry 4.0 award. InshaAllah, Pupuk Indonesia will continue to prioritize technology to achieve efficiency to support Indonesia's economic growth," Rahmad expressed.

Rahmad ensured that the implementation of Industry 4.0 in the Pupuk Indonesia Group environment will continue to be improved to support the Company's aspirations as a leader in the international market. Some of the Industry 4.0 programs that have been implemented in Pupuk Indonesia and have received this award include the Sales and Operation Planning Tools application, which is a simulation support system for optimizing profit from the SNOP process. It is one of the stages in SNOP to provide optimal profit scenarios for the Pupuk Indonesia Group.

Furthermore, the Integrated Distribution & Logistics Optimization (INDIOO) or integrated digital ecosystem consists of distribution planning, truck-vessel loading & unloading, port management, fleet management, warehouse management, and performance management. Lastly, the Retail Management System (Rekan) of Pupuk Indonesia is an open platform retail management system designed to be integrated with external systems as a single platform sales channel at kiosks.

Rahmad stated that this achievement motivates Pupuk Indonesia in the implementation of Industry 4.0 transformation. He added that the ultimate impact of this spirit will be enjoyed by consumers of the Pupuk Indonesia Group, in this case, farmers, to maintain national food security and improve the welfare of farmers in the country.

"We will continue to implement Industry 4.0 in every line of business. We hope to become a Global Lighthouse Network of Industry 4.0 as expected by the Minister of Industry for large industries in the country," he concluded.

Meanwhile, the National Lighthouse Industry 4.0 is one of the activities of the Standardization and Industrial Service Policy Agency of the Ministry of Industry to encourage companies to transform into Industry 4.0. The recipients are companies that can serve as examples for other industries in the transformation and implementation of Industry 4.0, thus acting as beacons to guide other industries in the implementation of technology 4.0.

Minister Agus Gumiwang hopes that the award recipients will not be satisfied with just that. They must strive harder to become Global Lighthouses, which is the highest category.

"I am very proud today that there are 15 industries that have become National Lighthouses of Industry 4.0. This exceeds the target I set last year, which was five industries. The implementation of Industry 4.0 must be further improved," Minister Agus Gumiwang emphasized.
