With the escort from the police and KP3, it is expected that the supervision of the distribution process will run more smoothly. As of December 18, 2023, the availability of subsidized fertilizer in Central Java reached 151,737 tons or 204 percent of the minimum requirement set by the Government. The breakdown includes 118,212 tons of Urea, 33,488 tons of NPK, and 37 tons of Special NPK Formula (Cocoa) fertilizers.

This subsidized fertilizer is provided to registered farmers who meet the criteria outlined in the Minister of Agriculture Regulation (Permentan) No. 10 of 2022. Recipients of subsidized fertilizer are required to be members of farmer groups, registered in the Agricultural Extension Management Information System (SIMLUHTAN), and the Ministry of Agriculture's e-Allocation system, and have a maximum land area of two hectares. Strategic crops eligible for fertilizer subsidies include rice, corn, soybeans, chili, shallots, garlic, coffee, sugarcane, and cocoa.

For farmers who do not receive subsidized fertilizer allocations, Pupuk Indonesia still provides non-subsidized fertilizer nationally, amounting to 187,293 tons. Of this, 8,305 tons are available to meet the needs of farmers in Central Java.

As a supervisory measure, Pupuk Indonesia has assigned 70 field officers responsible for technical coordination with various stakeholders in the field.

In addition, the Pupuk Indonesia Group consistently implements the MAKMUR program to encourage the development of the agricultural sector in supporting national food security. For the Central Java region, Pupuk Indonesia collaborates with the local government of Central Java to attract more farmers to join this program.

Through the MAKMUR program, Pupuk Indonesia facilitates access to funding and agricultural risk protection, as well as the presence of off-takers or market guarantees for farmers. As of October 2023, the MAKMUR program has been implemented on an area of 306,775 hectares with 90,632 farmers. Additionally, there has been a recorded increase in the productivity of several crops, such as rice, by 14 percent, reaching 6.5 tons per hectare, compared to the previous 5.7 tons per hectare.
