Peringati Hakordia 2023, Pupuk Indonesia Dukung Program Penguatan Budaya Integritas
Jakarta, December 17, 2023 – In commemoration of World Anti-Corruption Day (Hakordia) 2023, PT Pupuk Indonesia (Persero) continues to strengthen the anti-corruption culture in cultivating integrity values. One of the manifestations is demonstrated through the concern for the environment, as one of the implementations of environmental, social, and governance (ESG) through the planting of 2,023 integrity mangrove trees. A total of 2,023 mangrove trees were planted in two locations: 1,873 integrity mangrove trees in the Mangrove Ecotourism Area and 150 integrity mangroves in the Angke Kapuk Mangrove Nature Tourism Park, North Jakarta.
Ninis Kesuma Adriani, Director of Risk Management at Pupuk Indonesia, stated that the planting of integrity mangroves is significant because it teaches that integrity values must be instilled and practiced in oneself, family, and the surrounding environment from an early age.
"Let us seize this opportunity to strengthen our commitment to the principles of honesty, accountability, and ethical behavior. By planting these mangrove trees, we sow the seeds of change and positive growth, and the shade of these trees serves as a reminder and protector that we uphold integrity," expressed Ninis.
In supporting the anti-corruption culture, Ninis mentioned that it can start from the family environment. The family environment is crucial as a seedbed for integrity values in children as a provision for later becoming part of society. This aligns with the purpose of mangrove planting carried out by Pupuk Indonesia, where trees become sturdy with roots firmly planted in the ground, preventing erosion and protecting many biotas around the plants.
"We hope the same for all families of Insan Pupuk Indonesia. From the seeds of integrity growing in our households, there will emerge young individuals who are honest, professional, have integrity, and are ethically upright, who will bring pride to Indonesia as a great nation with high integrity and free from corruption," said Ninis.
The planting of integrity mangrove trees is done in collaboration with the Mangrove Flora Forest Farmers Group, which is one of the forms of implementing the Environmental Social Responsibility (ESR) program.
The mangrove planting activity was attended by representatives from the Board of Commissioners, Directors, Employee Wives, and Employees of Pupuk Indonesia. This aims to support the creation of cross-functional synergy in instilling integrity and concern for the environment.
"This is a tangible contribution from Pupuk Indonesia in preserving the environment through mangrove forest reforestation as one of our responsibilities to the environment. Let us all together strive in this world so that integrity prevails, and our society thrives, and our environment flourishes," she concluded."
