JAKARTA - The positive performance of PT Pupuk Indonesia (Persero) has once again been recognized as one of the best state-owned enterprises (BUMNs) and is listed among the "Top Corporations BUMN Awards 2023" along with 10 other BUMNs in the TOP BUMN Awards 2023 event. The award was symbolically received by SVP Corporate Secretary of Pupuk Indonesia, Wijaya Laksana, representing the management in Jakarta on Thursday (30/11/2023).

During the event, Wijaya stated that this award from Bisnis Indonesia media is a form of public recognition for the optimal performance of the company. He explained that this achievement is attributed to the positive performance of the company in 2022.

"The positive performance is undoubtedly due to the guidance from the Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises to Pupuk Indonesia to strengthen existing businesses and various other business developments, especially in the commercial sector," said Wijaya.

Starting in 2023, Wijaya mentioned that Pupuk Indonesia will create a new future through various business developments. It will not only involve fertilizers but also the chemical business, especially blue ammonia and green ammonia.

In the development of the chemical business, Pupuk Indonesia has entered into collaborations with several strategic partners, both domestically and internationally. Thanks to these strategic initiatives, the President Director of Pupuk Indonesia, Rahmad Pribadi, was also awarded as "The Best CEO: Excellent in Business Intelligence Solutions."

Additionally, at least three subsidiaries of Pupuk Indonesia also received Special Achievement awards in the TOP BUMN Awards 2023 for the "Non-Infrastructure Industry" category. These three are Pupuk Kalimantan Timur, awarded as the "Best Profitability," followed by Pupuk Kujang as the winner of "Best ROA (Return Of Assets)," and Petrokimia Gresik selected as "Best Solvency."

"Of course, these awards encourage all individuals within the Pupuk Indonesia group to enhance their performance to become leaders in the global market and to be at the forefront in maintaining national food security," emphasized Wijaya.

The TOP BUMN Awards 2023 itself is an appreciation from the Bisnis Indonesia Group to outstanding BUMNs. These state-owned enterprises are evaluated based on performance, ideas, innovation, and business transformation amid the highly dynamic global and domestic economic situations.

Meanwhile, Deputy for Legal and Legislation Affairs of the Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises of the Republic of Indonesia, Robertus Billitea, who attended the awarding ceremony, stated that BUMNs are business entities that serve as the extended arm and backbone of the government in national economic development. He also expressed hope that the winners would be further motivated to improve their performance and make their best contributions to economic progress.

"I hope the award recipients will be increasingly motivated to make their best contributions to the economy and the advancement of the nation," concluded Robertus.
