JAKARTA – After successfully transitioning the subsidized fertilizer redemption system from manual to digital in five provinces, PT Pupuk Indonesia (Persero) is again ready to serve digital redemption of subsidized fertilizer for registered farmers in the provinces of North Sumatra, Central Sulawesi , and Southeast Sulawesi starting Saturday (16/9/2023).

All official kiosks in these three provinces have implemented the i-Pubers redemption system (subsidized fertilizer integration), this application is an integration system between the Ministry of Agriculture's e-Allocation application and Pupuk Indonesia's Rekan application. The implementation of this digital system is also a follow-up to President Joko Widodo's (Jokowi) instructions regarding improving the governance of subsidized fertilizer policies, especially improving agricultural data.

Pupuk Indonesia Marketing Director, Gusrizal, said that i-Pubers is a new means for kiosks to input data on subsidized fertilizer distribution in real time and makes it easy for farmers to redeem subsidized fertilizer.

"The process of redeeming subsidized fertilizer in three provinces, namely North Sumatra, Central Sulawesi and Southeast Sulawesi, is getting easier, faster and simpler with the i-Pubers application. The implementation of digital applications is also an effort by Pupuk Indonesia together with the Ministry of Agriculture to improve the distribution and redemption system so that it is more targeted, transparent and accountable," said Gusrizal.

Gusrizal ensures that redemption of subsidized fertilizer with i-Pubers can only be done by farmers registered with e-Alocation. The way to redeem it is that farmers come with their KTP (residential identification card) to have their NIK scanned to access farmer data in the e-Allocation system. Next, the kiosk will input the amount of the redemption transaction and the farmer signs proof of the transaction on the i-Pubers application.

At the time of the transaction, the Citizenship Card belonging to the farmer, the farmer himself along with the subsidized fertilizer redeemed will be photographed by the kiosk on the i-Pubers application. The input photos will be equipped with geo-tagging and timestamp. So you can record the location and time when transactions occur and make tracking easier. If the Citizenship Card does not match, the farmer must complete it with a Certificate from the village or sub-district government.

Through i-Pubers, registered farmers must come to the kiosk in person and cannot be represented. However, for registered farmers who have died, the redemption can be taken by the heirs by showing proof of the death certificate. "This digital system or i-Pubers application will further simplify and facilitate the process of redeeming subsidized fertilizer by both farmers and kiosks. "Even the local Agriculture Service can get redemption data in real time," he said.

It is known that the transition to the redemption system in these three provinces has been carried out from 7-13 September 2023. The i-Pubers application has also been tested on 13-15 September to ensure that the digital fertilizer redemption system can operate (Go-Live). simultaneously in North Sumatra, Central Sulawesi and Southeast Sulawesi on September 16 2023.

Pupuk Indonesia has implemented digital redemption of subsidized fertilizer in five provinces, namely Bali, Aceh, Bangka Belitung, Riau and South Kalimantan. In this way, there are eight provinces that have implemented digital redemption at kiosks with the addition of North Sumatra, Central Sulawesi and Southeast Sulawesi.
