Pupuk Indonesia Collaboration Driving Safety on Toll Roads And Increases Soil Fertility
Jakarta - Jasa Raharja together with PT Pupuk Indonesia (Persero) held the "Jalan Dambaan (Dream Road) which is an abbreviation of "Dampak Baik Berkelanjutan" (Sustainable Good Impact) program in Jebed Selatan Village and Jebed Utara Village, Pemalang, Central Java. This collaboration between the two parties in Creating a Shared Value (CSV) which aims to increase land fertility while simultaneously reducing the number of traffic accidents on toll roads.
Head of Corporate Institutional and Strategy Division (Kadiv) of Jasa Raharja, Radito Risangadi explained, this activity collaborated two programs. One is to protect motorists from the risk of accidents and the other is agricultural solutions. "One of Jasa Raharja's tasks is to prevent victims from accidents. The Jalan Dambaan program is in line with Jasa Raharja's duties, as well as a form of inter-BUMN collaboration in Indonesia," he said in Jakarta, Friday (11/08/2023).
Radito further said that the Jalan Dambaan Program also involved relevant stakeholders such as the Jebed Utara Village Government, the Agriculture Service represented by the Jebed Village PPL (farmer field-instructor), Pupuk Kujang Cikampek, Petrokimia Gresik, and Pemalang Agro Sejahtera Indonesia as the Pupuk Indonesia's Makmur Program Partner, who also act as the coordinator of farmer groups in the area of program implementation.
"As we know, the length of the Trans Java Toll Road currently reaches 615 km. On either side of the toll road section, the majority are agricultural land, and the phenomenon of burning crop residues still occurs a lot," said Radito.
Meanwhile, Senior Vice President of PT Pupuk Indonesia (Persero) TJSL, Rika Susanty, said that this activity was a response from Pupuk Indonesia and Jasa Raharja to the phenomenon of traffic accidents on the Trans Java Toll road, which was associated with straw burning fumes which hindered the vision of road users. toll.
"This program prevents the burning of straw and helps farmers to utilize harvested straw as soil fertilizer. Farmers are educated on composting on the ground (in situ) using Petrogladiator, one of the biodecomposer products from the Pupuk Indonesia Group," said Rika.
The program, which carries the tagline "Healthy Land, Safe Travels," begins in the early August 2023 harvest season with a land area of up to 23 hectares (Ha). Meanwhile, socialization activities began on July 12 2023 involving as many as 45 farmers from several farmer groups. "In principle, Pupuk Indonesia is ready to collaborate sustainably with Jasa Raharja. Especially programs related to agricultural solutions," concluded Rika.
