KLATEN - PT Pupuk Indonesia (Persero) as of February 8 2023 has prepared subsidized fertilizer stocks of 124,853 tons for the Central Java (Central Java) and Yogyakarta Special Region (DIY) regions. This supply is equivalent to 201% or double the minimum requirement set by the Government.

SVP of Sales for the Western Region, Agus Susanto during his visit to the Klaten Pupuk Warehouse, Central Java, Thursday (9/2) said that the stock consisted of 74,929 tons of Urea fertilizer and 49,924 tons of NPK 15-10-12 (ordinary formulation). Whereas according to the provisions of the Regulation of the Minister of Agriculture (Permentan) Number 10 of 2022 the type of subsidized fertilizer is only for Urea fertilizer, NPK for ordinary formulations and NPK for Cocoa Special.

"The supply of Urea fertilizer is currently available, which is equivalent to 190% of the government's minimum requirement. Likewise with NPK, which now has an even greater percentage of stock, reaching 220% or more than double the minimum requirement. The supply of these two fertilizers is sufficient to meet the needs of farmers in Central Java and Yogyakarta for the next three weeks, this is in accordance with the Minister of Trade Regulation No. 4 of 2023," said Agus.

He ensures that all subsidized fertilizers distributed by Pupuk Indonesia are distributed to farmers who have met the requirements in Permentan 10/2022. Farmers who are entitled to subsidized fertilizer must join a farmer group, be registered in the Agricultural Extension Management Information System (SIMLUHTAN), cultivate a maximum of two hectares of land, and use a Farmer's Card (for certain areas).

"Farmers can redeem subsidized fertilizers at designated official kiosks to serve local farmer groups," said Agus.

Meanwhile, the realization of subsidized fertilizer distribution in the Sales Region 3B or Central Java-DIY, until February 8 2023 amounted to 128,195 tons, consisting of 77,327 tons of Urea fertilizer and 50,868 tons of NPK fertilizer. The total realization has reached 10 percent of the Central Java-DIY subsidized fertilizer allocation throughout 2023, which is 1,242,911 tons.

The details of the subsidized fertilizer allocation for Central Java-DIY this year consist of 787,116 tons of Urea fertilizer, 454,851 tons of ordinary NPK formulation and then 943 tons of Special Cocoa NPK. Meanwhile, as of February 8, 2022, there is still no realization for the Special Cocoa NPK, because the Central Java-DIY region has not yet entered the fertilization season.

"For your information, Minister of Agriculture Number 10 of 2022 stipulates that only nine commodities will receive subsidized fertilizer, namely rice, corn, soybeans, chilies, shallots, garlic, sugar cane, cocoa and coffee. These nine commodities are strategic agriculture which have an impact on inflation. Meanwhile, other commodities no longer receive allocations, "concluded Agus.

Meanwhile, the realization of the distribution of nationally subsidized fertilizers as of 8 February 2023, Pupuk Indonesia has distributed 810,338 tons of subsidized fertilizer or 10 percent of the total allocation in 2023 of 7,856,951 tons. The details of the realization of distribution of national subsidized fertilizers consist of 493,924 tons of Urea fertilizer, 314,184 tons of ordinary NPK fertilizer and 2,230 tons of Special Cocoa NPK.
