Pupuk Indonesia Prepares 47,250 Tons of Subsidized Fertilizer for Lampung

LAMPUNG (8/2) - PT Pupuk Indonesia (Persero) has prepared a stock of subsidized fertilizer for farmers in Lampung Province of 47,250 tons. The stock as of 8 February 2023 is equivalent to 167 percent of the minimum requirement set by the Government, which is 28,211 tons.

VP Sales Region 2 (Southern Sumatra), Taufiek, Thursday (9/2) said that the stock consisted of Urea fertilizer and NPK 15-10-12 (ordinary formulation). The details are 16,814 tons of Urea fertilizer and 30,435 tons of NPK.

"The Urea stock position currently reaches 108 percent of the government's minimum requirement. Likewise with NPK, the supply is doubled or 242 percent. This stock is safe to meet the fertilizer needs of farmers in Lampung for the next three weeks," said Taufiek.

These supplies, he added, are currently in the Line III or Regency/City warehouses. Among other things, the stock of Urea fertilizer in warehouses for West Lampung Regency was 1,015 tons, South Lampung 671 tons, Central Lampung 2,762 tons. Then stocks in East Lampung 1,823 tons, North Lampung 2,499 tons, Pesawaran and Pringsewu 2,346 tons, Tulang Bawang 1,144 tons, and Bandar Lampung City 4,555 tons.

In addition, to increase the supply of subsidized fertilizer stocks, currently there are 3 ships en route to Lampung transporting 14,700 tons of subsidized urea fertilizer consisting of 11,000 tons of bulk subsidized urea and 3,700 tons of subsidized inbag urea.

Next, NPK fertilizer stocks in West Lampung Regency amounted to 1,230 tons, South Lampung 379 tons, Central Lampung 974 tons, East Lampung 2,741 tons, North Lampung 1,781 tons, Pesawaran and Pringsewu 2,899 tons, Tulang Bawang 1,773 tons, and Bandar Lampung City 18,657 tons.

Taufiek also ensures that all of the subsidized fertilizers distributed by Pupuk Indonesia to farmers have met the requirements in Permentan Number 10 of 2022. Farmers who are entitled to subsidized fertilizers must join farmer groups, be registered in the Agricultural Extension Management Information System (SIMLUHTAN), work on a maximum of two plots of land. hectare.

Minister of Agriculture 10/2022 also stipulates that only nine commodities will receive subsidized fertilizer, namely rice, corn, soybeans, chilies, shallots, garlic, sugar cane, cocoa and coffee. "Farmers can redeem subsidized fertilizers at designated official kiosks to serve local farmer groups," said Taufiek.

Finally, he revealed that the distribution of subsidized fertilizers in Lampung Province as of 8 February 2023 reached 65,987 tons, consisting of 41,782 tons of Urea fertilizer and 24,204 tons of NPK. This realization reached 13 percent compared to the 2023 allocation of subsidized fertilizer for Lampung Province, which is 526,550 tons. (*)
