JAKARTA – PT Pupuk Indonesia (Persero) revealed that the stock of subsidized fertilizers in the West Java (West Java), DKI Jakarta and Banten areas was 93,684 tons as of January 12 2023. This figure consisted of Urea and NPK which were 57,527 tons and 36,157 tonnes or a total equivalent to 194 percent of the minimum stock requirements.

Pupuk Indonesia's VP Regional Sales 3A, Aviv Ahmad Fadhil said that the subsidized fertilizer stock was sufficient to meet the needs of farmers for the next few weeks.

"The stock of urea fertilizer which reached 57,527 tons is equivalent to 185 percent of the minimum stock requirements set by the government, while the NPK fertilizer stock of 36,157 tons is equivalent to 208 percent of the provisions. Thus, the stock of urea and NPK fertilizer is sufficient to meet the needs of farmers for the next few weeks," said Aviv.

If seen in more detail, the stock of subsidized fertilizers in the West Java region is 84,779 tons or the equivalent of 205 percent of the provisions. This amount consisted of 50,597 tons of urea and 34,182 tons of NPK. Meanwhile, stocks of subsidized fertilizers in the Banten area were recorded at 8,905 tons consisting of 6,930 tons of urea and 1,976 tons of NPK. If the two are combined, the stock in the Banten region is equivalent to 126 percent of the provisions.

Meanwhile in terms of distribution or distribution, Aviv said that Pupuk Indonesia had realized 37,841 tons as of January 12, 2023, consisting of 24,697 tons of urea and 13,144 tons of NPK. If seen in more detail, the distribution realization for the West Java region was recorded at 35,302 tons, with details of 22,811 tons of urea fertilizer and 12,491 tons of NPK fertilizer. For the Banten region, 2,539 tons were recorded, with details of 1,886 tons of urea fertilizer and 653 tons of NPK fertilizer, while for DKI Jakarta, the realization was still nil, considering that in 2023 there will be no allocation in the area of the National Capital City.

Aviv ensures that all subsidized fertilizers distributed by Pupuk Indonesia intended for farmers have met the requirements in Permentan Number 10 of 2022. Based on the regulation, farmers who are entitled to receive it are required to be members of farmer groups, registered in SIMLUHTAN (Agricultural Extension Management Information System), work on a maximum of two hectares of land, and using a Farmer's Card (for certain areas). Aviv further explained that farmers can redeem subsidized fertilizers at official kiosks that have been determined to serve local farmer groups.

"It should also be noted, Minister of Agriculture Number 10 of 2022 also stipulates only nine commodities that receive subsidized fertilizer, namely rice, corn, soybeans, chilies, shallots, garlic, sugar cane, cocoa, and coffee. These nine commodities are strategic agriculture which have an impact on inflation so that other commodities no longer receive allocations," he said.
