PT Pupuk Indonesia (Persero) fully supports the Yogyakarta Special Region (DIY) Fertilizer and Pesticide Supervisory Commission (KP3) in taking action against kiosks/distributors of subsidized fertilizer proven to have violated regulations. This was conveyed by Senior Manager (SM) of Regional 2B of Pupuk Indonesia, Jeff Narapati, after attending the “Presentation of the Results of Subsidized Fertilizer Supervision for 2025 in the Yogyakarta Special Region” in Yogyakarta on Wednesday (19/11/2025).

Jeff stated that in 2025, the Government has implemented numerous changes to the governance of subsidized fertilizer distribution to support the national food self-sufficiency program. Policies that demonstrate the Government’s presence for the community include simplifying the subsidized fertilizer distribution process and, most recently, reducing the Maximum Retail Price (HET) of subsidized fertilizers.

Therefore, Pupuk Indonesia, together with KP3 of the Yogyakarta Special Region, is collaborating to tighten supervision of subsidized fertilizer distribution to ensure that these policies have a direct impact on farmers.

“The new policies set by the Government in the distribution of subsidized fertilizers provide significant benefits if implemented properly. For this reason, strict supervision from KP3 is required. In this way, these pro-farmer policies can truly achieve optimal results, particularly in realizing national food self-sufficiency,” Jeff emphasized.

Pupuk Indonesia ensures that farmers registered in the e-RDKK system can utilize their allocated subsidized fertilizers during the end-of-year 2025 planting season. Accordingly, Pupuk Indonesia has prepared sufficient stocks of subsidized fertilizer for the Yogyakarta Special Region, which is currently entering the rainy season and the rice planting period.

As of November 5, the stock of subsidized fertilizer prepared by Pupuk Indonesia for farmers in the Yogyakarta Special Region reached 2,589 tons. These fertilizers are already stored in PUD and PPTS warehouses and are ready to be redeemed by farmers. The stock consists of 1,285 tons of Urea fertilizer and 1,304 tons of NPK Phonska.

“We are greatly assisted by KP3’s supervision, enabling us to distribute subsidized fertilizers in accordance with the 7T principles (right target, type, quantity, price, time, place, and quality) and to provide a positive impact on the realization of national food self-sufficiency,” he emphasized.

Meanwhile, Head of the Domestic Trade Division of the Industry and Trade Office of the Yogyakarta Special Region Provincial Government, Lukis Wahono, stated that supervision of subsidized fertilizer distribution is crucial to ensure that fertilizers are evenly available and properly targeted. Through this presentation, he hopes that the public can better understand the importance of supervising subsidized fertilizer distribution in the Yogyakarta Special Region and the role of each stakeholder in the process.

He added that, to improve the effectiveness of supervision of subsidized fertilizer distribution in the Yogyakarta Special Region, strong cooperation is required among the government, producers, distributors, and farmers. The main objective of this supervision is to ensure that subsidized fertilizers are distributed appropriately and are not misused by unauthorized parties. As a result, agricultural production is expected to increase and farmers’ welfare can be ensured.

“Through appropriate strategies and partnerships, as well as effective monitoring and evaluation systems, the target for supervising subsidized fertilizer distribution in the Yogyakarta Special Region in 2025 can be achieved. This will provide significant benefits for the entire community of the Yogyakarta Special Region, especially farmers who are the backbone of the agricultural sector in this region,” he concluded.
