Pupuk Indonesia Support The Accelerations of BBEMV
NUSA DUA (19/10) – In order to support the acceleration of the Battery-Based Electric Motorized Vehicle (BBEMV) ecosystem in the country, PT Pupuk Indonesia (Persero) is collaborating with PT Wika Industri Manufaktur (WIMA) which is a Gesits electric vehicle partner.
This collaboration is contained in a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on the Acceleration of the Battery-Based Electric Motorized Vehicle Program. This activity was carried out on the sidelines of the State Owned Enterprise (SOE) International Conference or SOE International Conference & Expo 2022: Driving Sustainable and Inclusive Growth in Nusa Dua, Bali, Tuesday (18/10/2022). The signing of this MoU was carried out directly by the SEVP of Procurement of Indonesian Fertilizers, Arif Fauzan with Mumammad Samyarto as the President Director of the Manufacturing Industry Wika witnessed by the Deputy Minister of BUMN I Pahala Nugraha Mansury.
President Director of Pupuk Indonesia, Bakir Pasaman said that the signing of the memorandum of understanding with Wika Manufacturing Industry was Pupuk Indonesia's real effort in accelerating the transition of Battery-Based Electric Motorized Vehicles (KLBB).
"Pupuk Indonesia as a BUMN supports the acceleration of KLBB, we through PT Petrokimia Gresik as a subsidiary have used 150 units of GESITS electric motorbikes which are used as operational vehicles," said Bakir.
In this collaboration, Bakir revealed that Pupuk Indonesia would order 500 units of battery-based electric motorized vehicles from WIMA or GESITS in accordance with applicable regulations. This collaboration is also a joint commitment in supporting Indonesia's commitment to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
Bakir revealed that this battery-based electric vehicle will later support the mobility of marketing personnel, especially Account Executives (AE) and Assistant Account Executives (AAE). “This will be used to support AE and AAE in the field. So Pupuk Indonesia needs to survey the field and we are frugal. I think the government's efforts have been to promote electric motorbikes, therefore all Pupuk Indonesia employees are equipped with electric motorbikes because apart from not polluting the environment, they are fuel-efficient and good because they don't cause noise," he said.
On the same occasion, Muhammad Samyarto as the President Director of Wika Industri Manufacturing expressed his gratitude to Pupuk Indonesia as one of the SOE that has taken part in the Battery-Based Electric Motorized Vehicle acceleration program within the SOE environment.
It can be seen that the scope of the memorandum of understanding between Pupuk Indonesia and Wika Infrastructure Manufacturing is to accelerate KLBB within the SOE. Then, conduct a study and inventory of the various potentials of each party.
Apart from Pupuk Indonesia, several SOEs signed an MoU on the Acceleration of the Battery-Based Electric Motorized Vehicle Program. Among others are PT Pertamina (Persero), PT PLN (Persero), MIND ID, PT Telkom Indonesia, PT Perkebunan Nusantara III, and PT Jasa Marga.
