Pupuk Indonesia Niaga's Readiness for the Planting Season

Pupuk Indonesia Niaga, a member of the Pupuk Indonesia Group which operates in the field of trading and distribution of fertilizers & non-fertilizers, also supports the Government's efforts to provide fertilizer ahead of the planting season. Apart from providing subsidized fertilizer according to government allocation, PI Niaga also provides non-subsidized fertilizer.

Director of Commercial & Operations at Pupuk Indonesia Niaga, Yusuf Trudo HDM Nainggolan, said PI Niaga supports the Government in the national food security program, including through the distribution of subsidized fertilizer, in order to increase agricultural productivity.

Until the end of November more than 100,000 tonnes of subsidized fertilizer had been distributed by PI Niaga to farmers through its 8 branches with details; urea fertilizer amounted to 48,438 tons and NPK amounted to 54,078 tons.

"PI Niaga has 8 branches, namely Branches: Pekanbaru, Jambi, Palembang, Lampung, Banten West Java, Semarang, Surabaya and Makassar which are tasked with distributing subsidized fertilizer in accordance with applicable regulations, as one of PI Niaga's efforts to support the Government's program in accelerating planting for increase food crop productivity. "Meanwhile, we source the fertilizer itself from producers who are members of the Pupuk Indonesia Group," said Trudo.

In distributing subsidized fertilizer, PI Niaga is based on the Electronic Group Definitive Needs Plan (e-RDKK) in the designated area. As is known, this subsidized fertilizer is given to registered farmers who have a maximum land area of ​​two hectares and meet the requirements in accordance with the provisions in Minister of Agriculture Regulation (Permentan) Number 10 of 2022.

Recipients of subsidized fertilizer are required to become members of farmer groups and prepare RDKK. RDKK is a plan for the need for agricultural production facilities and agricultural machinery for one season/business cycle which is prepared based on member deliberation, where the plan includes a plan for the need for subsidized fertilizer.

As a subsidiary of Pupuk Indonesia, PI Niaga supports the ease of redeeming subsidized fertilizer with a Resident Identity Card (KTP). Pupuk Indonesia Group is ready to support this program, one of which is through the i-Pubers application or Subsidized Fertilizer Integration. The i-Pubers application is a collaboration application between Tebus Subsidized Fertilizer (T-Pubers) owned by the Government, in this case the Ministry of Agriculture, and the REKAN application owned by Pupuk Indonesia.

Meanwhile, Pupuk Indonesia carried out several working visits to ensure the availability of fertilizer in various regions. As of December 31, 2023, the availability of subsidized fertilizer and non-subsidized fertilizer was recorded at 1,744,302 tons. Which consists of subsidized fertilizer amounting to 1,215,280 tons and non-fertilizer subsidies amounting to 529,022 tons. For the 2024 planting period, Pupuk Indonesia supports the Government's program to accelerate planting by ensuring the availability of subsidized and non-subsidized fertilizers.
