Pupuk Indonesia Expands the Market for Fostered MSMEs at INACRAFT 2023
JAKARTA – PT Pupuk Indonesia (Persero) is again taking part in The Jakarta International Handicraft Trade Fair (INACRAFT) which will take place at the Jakarta Convention Center (JCC) Convention Hall, from 4 to 8 October 2023 to support micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs). ) Guidance in promoting products and expanding sales access.
Pupuk Indonesia's SVP of Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL), Rika Susanty, said that there were 18 MSMEs under the guidance of the Pupuk Indonesia Group taking part in the Inacraft 2023 exhibition. "All of these MSMEs are fostered by each of Pupuk Indonesia's subsidiaries in support of the Tujuan Pembangunan Berkelanjutan (TPB) or the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). "Inacraft is an opportunity to expand the market for fostered MSMEs as well as a means of promotion, interaction and exchange of information regarding product trends, especially regarding the local craft industry," said Rika.
A total of 18 MSMEs assisted by Pupuk Indonesia Group are Kaye Galery and Putroena Souvenir which are assisted by PT Pupuk Iskandar Muda (PIM). Ecoprint Aditya Jumputan and Songket Harapan Baru MSMEs which are under the guidance of PT Pupuk Sriwidjaja Palembang (PSP). Kurnia Cirebon Batik and Garut Silk Weaving MSMEs which are under the guidance of PT Pupuk Kujang Cikampek (PKC). Hamdan Batiek and Batik Sari Kenongo MSMEs which are supported by PT Petrokimia Gresik (PKG).
Next, MSMEs Kurnia Songket West Kalimantan and Sumarni Liong who are under the guidance of PT Pupuk Kalimantan Timur (PKT). UMKM Loji Craft which is under the guidance of PT Rekayasa Industri (Rekind). Meanwhile, the rest, namely Lembayung Ethnic MSMEs, Dzafira Indonesia, Selawase, Qtacraft Official, Jaroe Craft, 3C Craft, and Etsy Beads are under the guidance of the PIKA-PI Group.
"We hope that the MSME products supported by Pupuk Indonesia Group will be of interest to visitors because Inacraft is an international exhibition which aims to facilitate local craft products to reach the export market. "The fostered MSME products that we are presenting at Inacraft on October 2023 have gone through curation stages starting from product quality, capacity and production sustainability," added Rika.
In accordance with SOE Minister Erick Thohir's direction, Rika stated that Pupuk Indonesia will continue to support its MSME partners to Go Digital and Go Global. Because MSMEs are the sector that absorbs the most labor and supports national economic growth. This is in line with the Company's commitment to supporting economic growth in accordance with point 8 of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), namely increasing inclusive and sustainable economic growth, productive and comprehensive employment opportunities, and decent work for all.
On the same occasion, the Chair of the PIKA-PI Group, Kuntari Laksmitadewi Wahyuningdyah invited visitors to visit the Pupuk Indonesia Group booth in Hall B of the JCC. "Please visit the Pupuk Indonesia Group booth at the Inacraft JCC, from 4 to 8 October 2023," said Kuntari.
This year's Inacraft exhibition was opened directly by President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) on October 4 2023. In his speech, the number one person in Indonesia hopes that the country's MSME products will be increasingly visited. From year to year, the products displayed at this event are of increasingly better quality and many local products are widely known.
Jokowi assessed that the participants' enthusiasm for taking part in the Inacraft exhibition was also very high. This can be seen from the full number of stands provided. Of the 18,700 square meters of exhibition area, everything is fully occupied and divided into 772 booths.
“Everything is full. If it's like that, we hope there will be more visitors, there must be a lot. "There will also be more buyers and we hope that the turnover will also be better and bigger," said Jokowi.
