PIKA-PI Group Distributes Rp106 Million in Aid to The Elderly
JAKARTA – The Association of Pupuk Indonesia & Group Employees' Wives (PIKA-PI Group) through the "PIKA-PI Group 7th Anniversary Social Service" program provided assistance worth Rp106 million for the elderly. Donations were handed over to the Elderly Social Rehabilitation Service Unit, Karawang, West Java and the Wisma Mulia Nursing Home Foundation, Petamburan, West Jakarta, Wednesday (15/2/2023).
Deputy Chairperson and Head of Social Affairs of PIKA-PI Group, Ria Nugroho Christijanto said that this elderly assistance is a form of gratitude and the organization's efforts to foster the social concern of its members towards the community in the surrounding environment. The relief funds raised are partly voluntary donations of members.
"This assistance is a forum for PIKA-PI and PIKA Anper (Subsidiary) members to share their happiness. This time with the elderly," said Ria.
As for the implementation of social services, PIKA-PI Group is assisted by PIKA Anper in turn. According to Ria, PIKA Anper's assistance makes the target of the assistance program more targeted and reaches a wider area.
This is in line with the statement of the Chairman of PIKA-PI Group, Ira Bakir Pasaman, "Through this collaboration, the social service program of PIKA-PI Group's 7th Anniversary is also a moment to improve harmonious relations between PIKA-PI Group and PIKA Anper. In addition, it is also to seek the blessings and blessings of God Almighty for the favors that have been obtained by PT Pupuk Indonesia (Persero)."
As for assistance at the Wisma Mulia Nursing Home Foundation, PIKA-PI Group distributes assistance to the elderly in the form of operational funds in cash and in-kind assistance as needed. Total aid worth IDR 53 million. Likewise for the Karawang Elderly Social Rehabilitation Service Unit, the donation given by PIKA-PI Group is worth IDR 53 million.
Ria further explained, if the social service run by PIKA-PI Group is not only at the moment of PIKA-PI's birthday. Previously, PIKA-PI Group also cared about the victims of the Cianjur Earthquake at the end of 2022.
